We have a special live recording show coming this saturday.
Almost 20 years ago, Los Angeles erupted in a devastating riot that tragically affected countless communities both in la and around the country, perhaps even around the world. We want to reclaim this story. We want to retell it in a way that gives voice to the tragic struggles suffered by these communities. We want to illuminate the blues-like beauty which arose from the burning rubble. In short, we are telling a story of beauty and hope.
Beyond the blaming, this story will be one that couches personal and community stories in the garbs of honesty and hope.

I’ve been working on a number of songs in hopes of premiering a new concept show in April 2012, the 20th anniversary of the L.A. Uprising. The saturday show will be a glimpse into what that show could be.
We hope that you can come, chill, talk, and enjoy the stories that will be told.
